Pyramid Lake Fishing Trip March 2014

Well the annual Pyramid Lake fishing trip got scheduled to chase after the Lohontan Cutthroat trout.  We arrived March 20th and left March 23rd.  The fishing was good... not great, but good.  There was enough fish to keep our attention, but it was slow at times too.  Watching an indicator for 2 hours without a bite and make ya grow a bit weary...  We still got into some fish and had a great time.  Water temps ranged from 45 up to 49 in the afternoons.  I'm not sure if the pumps were on.  Fish hit a lot of Red Mahalos and some snowcone midges.  Fish were caught quite a bit on beetles, mostly black.

Anyways, now for the fun stuff, the pictures:

If I didn't live nearly 8 hours away, I'd be at that lake a LOT more often!

Until next year, tight lines!
